How to Cook Pusit Lumot

ADOBONG PUSIT KALAWANG

Ingredients

• Medium-sized pusit kalawang
• 1 piece onion
• 4 cloves of garlic
• 1 piece ginger
• 4 pieces tomatoes
• 1/3 cup oyster sauce
• ½ cup soy sauce
• ½ cup vinegar
• 2 tbsp. of white or brown sugar
• 3 pieces bay leaves

Instructions

1 Heat oil in a pan.
2 Sauté onion, garlic, and tomatoes until light golden.
3 Add ginger and cook until soft and fragrant.
4 Put the squid into the pan.
5 Cook for 1–2 minutes until it starts to release water.
6 Add salt and pepper and bay leaves to taste.
7 Pour in oyster sauce, soy sauce, and vinegar.
8 Do not stir immediately—let it boil first for about 2–3 minutes to cook off the vinegar taste.
9 Turn off heat once sauce thickens slightly.
